Seamless Integration

Getting started with The Swarm in Clay is simple. There's no need for complex configurations—just head to the enrichment search panel in Clay and select “The Swarm.” From there, you have two powerful options:

  • Find intro paths to companies (recommended for broader results and up to 10 intro paths per company)
  • Find intro paths to people (recommended for specific, high-relevance intros)

How to Use The Swarm in Clay

  1. Enter a company domain name to map relationships. Larger companies will naturally have more intro paths available.
  2. Apply job function or seniority filters to refine your results. For maximum discovery, remove these filters if no intro paths are initially found.
  3. The first time you run a search for a company, mapping may take a few hours. Once complete, results will be available in Clay.
  4. The Swarm enrichments deduct Clay Credits automatically based on returned results.

Expanding Your Reach

While the Clay integration provides immediate access to intro paths, users who want to incorporate LinkedIn connections can sign up for a Swarm account. This allows for:

  • Adding more "Connectors" (investors, advisors, partners, customers) to further enrich intro path data.
  • Inviting “Members” to integrate their LinkedIn, email, and calendar data for even deeper insights.

For full LinkedIn-enabled functionality, users can retrieve an API key under Team Settings on the Swarm app.
